Frequently asked questions

Is this HIPAA compliant?

Chatsy does not currently offer HIPAA Business Associate Agreements (BAAs). If you handle Protected Health Information (PHI), use a HIPAA-eligible alternative or contact us about your needs. The chatbot can still help with non-PHI workflows like office hours, general FAQs, and appointment requests routed to staff. Configure the AI to avoid collecting PHI in chat.

Can it give medical advice?

No, and it should not. Configure the AI to explicitly avoid medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations. It answers practice-related questions only.

Is patient data handled securely?

Chatsy uses AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit, with workspace isolation by row-level access controls. Conversations are never used to train AI models. Note: Chatsy does not currently offer HIPAA BAAs. Configure the AI to avoid collecting PHI and route clinical questions to your patient portal or staff.
